8.7.4. Campaign & Finances
I played the Career mode and found a lot of places to improve.
- First of all, time has come into play. Time passes when you move between planets, rest, or complete contracts.
- Every 30 days you need to pay your mercenaries' salary.
Hinterlands book suggests counting a salary of 500 credits for every 100 points of your company's value. I calculate this amount using the formula for calculating the number of people in your company from some previous book (Campaign operations?) and multiplying that number by 15. it works out about the same, but it seems more interesting.
- There were also a lot of questions about what to do if the money went negative? Now you will be contacted by one of two friendly organizations and given a loan. then, someday, they might ask for a favor in return.
- A confirmation screen on every purchase is added to store pages. now mechs won't accidentally disappear, company status is saved every time a purchase is made.
- There's a new type of contract now - garrison duty. It's only available in Career mode and doesn't require a battle to complete. You're just wasting your time training militia or working in the honor guard for a solid pay. It could be a way to make a little money without having to spend on repairing mechs after battles.
- Your actions now have twice as much influence on the outcome of battles for the planet. it'll be faster and more interesting this way.
- Available contracts now do not corrupt anymore after leaving the planet page.
- The assortment of stores is not updated when leaving the store (it was a bug), but only after a new visit to the planet.
- Several other major bugs fixed
- Unfortunately, the problem with moving around the sector map on Android has not yet been solved, so this build is not yet available for download.
- Another known problem - enemy mechs sometimes don't show up on the battlefield. You get a victory immediately. I can't figure out why, and I'd be glad if you could help me find a pattern - under what conditions does this happen?
