There was a poll on Discord about what features to implement next. This is what we have:

  • 16 Generated Chaos Campaigns
  • 12 Joining a faction and receiving a planet as a reward  
  • 6 Alternative origin story (player starts in Clans)
  • 5 Arena tournament system
  • 5 New missions
  • 4 Ability to customize contracts in skirmish mode
  • 2 New biomes
  • 4 Pilot's abilities and level up
  • 2 DropShip quarters upgrades
  • 2 Random encounters (short stories between battles)
  • 2 Pilot customization (changeable portraits, names)
  • 2 Quests and stories (dialogues, skill checks)
  • 1 Pirate career (raid planets, use pirate jump points)
  • 1 Competition with other mercenaries in the sector

The results weren't quite what I expected, but they gave me food for thought.

They also gave me a list of features to work with. And I focused on the things that are highlighted in bold.

So I went through it.

As a result, you can now assemble your own contract in Skirmish mode instead of relying on the randomization system.

New mission - now the enemy is caught off guard in the center of the field, and we attack from all sides. I know it's a bit lazy, but it was quick. I'll see what other missions can be implemented.

And two biomes are back - the city and the moon. I'm not very happy with either of them, so I kept them, but I'll see what can be improved.

The Clan Origin story sounds interesting and it will not take too long to implement. Maybe we can get it done in the next update.

And as I said before, the Chaos Campaign will take some time.
